Severine Peraudin was born in France and grew up in the Swiss mountains of the Valais canton. She studied art history in Rome and learned fashion design through a series of professional experiences in Paris, Milan and Tokyo (Agnès B, Missoni). The diversity of her background gave Severine nonetheless a complex and dynamic vision, that she constantly translates in a personal style with a sensual feeling. In 1996, Severine established her own company, MAIAMIMOSA, and began creating and marketing several collections in her name each year. At the same time she opened her boutique in the Place Saint Sulpice on the Paris left bank.
